Teagan Marti is getting a therapy/companion dog
Life can change in a second. Just ask Teagan Marti. On July 30, 2010, while vacationing in Wisconsin Dells, Teagan
tragically fell over 100 feet from an amusement park ride to the ground. Miraculously, Teagan survived. Once an avid
middle school swim team member, today Teagan is partially paralyzed and lives with a stretched spinal cord injury.
Teagan continues to rise above impossible odds and suffers no cognitive deficiencies. She possesses a great spirit
of determination and is an exemplary witness to hope!
Teagan dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and loves animals. Our dream for Teagan is to
provide her with a companion/therapy dog that will not only boost her spirits, but also aid in her recovery and help her
to maneuver through her daily tasks. The positive effects of animals on people, whether suffering from any type of injury
or illness, or even to combat loneliness has been well documented. In fact, animals are being used more and more as an
integral part of patient rehabilitation because doctors realize the amazing difference animals can make in the lives of their patients.
One of Ruby's precious puppies has been chosen as a companion/therapy dog to aid Teagan Marti on her road to recovery. Teagan is recovering from a
spinal cord injury and her new companion will need to have extensive training to provide Teagan with the help she needs.
A big heart felt thank you goes out to Charlie Sheen! Thanks to Mr. Sheen's big heart, Teagan will receive the campanion/therapy dog.
The fully trained therapy dog will be presented to Teagan in time for her birthday in September. In honor of Mr. Sheen, Teagan has named the cute little puppy "Charlie". Jake Guell, a certified behavioral dog trainer, will be training little Charlie.

Tell me your secrets
and I'll tell you mine
Teagan and her family still cannot find the words to adequately express how much the love and prayers of their family,
friends, and strangers (some of whom they now count among their friends) have given them strength through some very dark
and difficult days. They know that the power of love cannot be underestimated and that it is the source of miracles.
Thank you from the bottom of their hearts to all who have demonstrated their love and compassion and continue to Hope, Help and Heal.
